Bim-what?

So my daughter has this weird speech habit.

Hadley2[1]She adds the word, "bim" in front of other words.

Computer=Bimputer

Capris=Bimpris

Pajamas=Bimjamas

Melissa=Bimlissa (my absolute favorite-and how I often refer to my poor friend)

Why does she do this?

She does not do this with every word.

Just those four.

How does she determine if a word is "bim" worthy?

Thoughts?

Anyone?

  2. She probably does it becuase you react every time. Smiling, chuckling, or even correcting her... she's a kid and kids love making adults react ;-)

    but it is still cute! especially your friends name!

  3. Melissa - I was going to post the same thing! He sounded so french and exotic when he spoke that way. I remember one of Jordy's words was dobbin - and she always said it with a slight hum at the beginning. Mmmmmmmmm - dobbin. Tracy can replicate it exactly. Jess used to call Melissa "thister" which was so cute!
